Bedok Safety Group (BSG)
was formed in the year 1985 under guidance from then "National Productivity Board" which took over from the
then occupational safety training and promotion department of the "Ministry of Labour". Initially the group comprises mainly of
representatives from metalworking factories in the Bedok area. Later other factories outside of Bedok area who are interested in
promoting the occupational health and safety welfare of their workers joined as members. Presently, the group runs with the support of
the Occupational Safety & Health Division and the Workplace Safety and Health Council of Ministry of Manpower. To date, the group has
grown to a total of 12 companies. They are:

The members from BSG comprises mainly of Workplace Safety & Health Officers meet every month at the MOM or member's companies to
discuss, plan and prepare Occupational, Health and Safety promotional activities for its members as well as the industry.
BSG is a partner for the National Workplace Safety and Health Campaign promoted by the Workplace Safety and Health Council of Ministry
of Manpower.
